App 22 - Tarbiyah Storytime
Tarbiyah storytime is a collection of books that have been lovingly designed with great attention to detail to introduce children to an ayah of the Qur’an. The books are easy to follow and a great way for kids to either follow along and listen to each story, or use as a way to learn to read.
The app is available on the App store and Google store.

Quran Memorisation Series - Idea 2: These apps
As we all know, there is pretty much an app for everything these days 😉 And sure enough, there is an app to help us and our children memorise the Suras from the Quran too!
We had covered this app as part of our Islamic Children’s App Series and am sharing the review for those interested here:

And here is another one: http://www.quranstar.com/
This site is amazing as well: https://en.muqri.com
You can choose which Qari you want, which surah you want, which ayah(s) and how many times you want it repeated. You can also choose to give yourself some time to recite after each ayah is played.
App 18 - The Quran Project

App 16 - Amina's Kitchen App
Another App review for you 🙂
Amina’s Kitchen is a great app for any budding young chef in the house!
When you log on, you can go straight to the recipes or click on play for some interactive fun… You are directed to a map where you can choose your destination, and then introduced to various dishes from the region. To get the ingredients, you need to play a catching game – but make sure you stay away from the non-halal ingredients! A great way to introduce children to different regions of the world where Muslims are, teach them about halal and haraam, and introduce them to the world of cooking…

App 15 - Tasbih of Bibi Fatema (as) Game - FREE App!
I had mentioned i have a few apps for Muslim children to review to add to the ones reviewed in a previous series – here is an awesome one!
Created by the amazing authors of the Yaseer and Zahra books (AND the Heroes of Kerbala game recently reprinted by Buzz Ideazz), they turned this real-life game of theirs into an app smile emoticon
When you first open it up, you are greeted by a nasheed exhorting the praises of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her)! You can then choose which type of game you want to play – one player, multiplayer, and access to instructions.
If you choose one player, you can decide whether you want to be Yaseer or Zahra and then you play against Grandfather! Multiplayers go by colour.
And then you’re off! As the dice rolls, you make your way through a tasbih – you can land on question cards (where you are asked basic trivia about the tasbih and Bibi Fatima), treasure boxes (where you did something good, eg. recited tasbih when you were ill and so get to move ahead or have another turn) and O-NO cards (where you did something wrong and so move back, eg. read the tasbih out of order).
All in all, lots to learn from this game, which having fun at the same time! The question cards ARE based on trust and you have to answer and then choose whether you got the answer right or wrong… however, the aim of the game is to learn, so that is achieved regardless, Inshallah!
Last but not least, it is FREE to download! The App was created by ECNET Solutions INC.
P.S. We have some good news about the actual physical game itself – more to come, Inshallah!
