Such a wonderful idea, Mashallah! One to implement in our Islamic schools/Madressas?
It’s already that time of year, would you believe?!
“On one such occasion last year I found myself telling him Eid was only 100 days away…and with that came an idea so exciting that I set to work straight away. We would have a tree – it would be a learning tree, a growing tree and with each leaf that opened we would count one less day till Eid but one more inch closer to Allah. I proposed to my then-four-year-old that we would have a “99 Names of Allah Tree.”
And here dear reader, I invite you to join us! This year on the 29th of March, it will be approximately 99 days till eid.”

Just beautiful. Which is your favourite?
In case you haven’t seen this…a Christian artist makes sculptures of the 99 Names of Allah! May be of interest to budding artists in the family 🙂
I don’t know about all of you who have young girls at home, but my 6 year old loves princesses. We have all heard of all the negative hype around Disney Princesses and the connotations they come with, so what better stories to give her to read as alternatives than a Princess series based on the 99 Names of Allah?!
There are 4 books out there so far, and we look forward to many more Inshallah.
“The Princess Series has been inspired by The Asma Ul Husna, “The 99 Names of Allah.” Each Princess has been named after a particular attribute of Allah. For example, Al-Shahid, “The Witness”, therefore the Princess has been named Princess Shahida. She embodies this attribute and tells the truth after witnessing a crime. The aim of the Princess Series is to inspire your girls to both learn the 99 Names of Allah and to learn from their meanings.”
