Blog 3: Little Life of Mine – http://littlelifeofmine.com/

This blog was pointed out to me by my sister sometime ago, who is a teacher of this blogger’s daughter – she couldn’t stop raving about how many creative ideas she has and after checking it out, i completely agree!

In her own words, here’s a little bit about the blogger: “I’m Amnah, a Muslim mom blogger from the San Francisco Bay Area. Here you’ll find crafts and projects for kids and moms alike, sweet and savory recipes, and random ramblings about raising three little girls.”

As mentioned, Amnah covers a lot of topics – what i loved the most however, are her faith posts, such as how she and the kids made telescopes for moon sighting at the beginning of Ramadhan and how she is trying to create Ramadhan traditions in the family. What touched me most of all and brought tears to my eyes, was her post about Allah’s mercy in her recent August trip.

I won’t say anymore, do check it out yourself! Happy reading 🙂

Blog 2: Confessions of a Muslim MOMma-holic – www.confessionsofamuslimmommaholic.com/

Confessions of a Muslim MOMma-holic began as a blog written by a stay-at-home Muslim mom about… well… staying at home! It stemmed from one Muslim mother’s struggle to de-program her ‘working girl’ mentality and come to terms with the label of ‘stay at home’.

Her mantra is: An ordinary mom trying to raise EXTRAordinary kids! Something we can all relate to in our efforts to raise our children, right?

In her blog she talks about her homeschooling experiences, interesting and pertinent topics on marriage – such as being a good listener, and time to start appreciating the good thing in front of her (i.e. the husband!) – and parenting thoughts, such as the need to slow down with her children.

There are so many great ideas in here, such as her Good Deed Jar where she rewards them with non-materialistic things like quality time together, a calendar for the first 10 days of Dhul Hijja, and the activities she did with some friends to make a mini-Hajj for their children!

All in all, a great blog to check out! Happy reading y’all 🙂

P.S. She’s actually more active on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Confessions-of-a-Muslim-MOMma-holic/116451925057915

Bismillah! Let the Blog Review Begin...

Someone requested a series of Muslim Blogs – when looking around, I found some great blogs out there, which fit in perfectly with the Buzz Ideazz ethos of bringing Islam to life for our families. So here we go, Inshallah!

Blog 1: Happy Muslim Mama – www.happymuslimah.com

Based in the UK, Umm Saliha describes herself as the following: ‘Hijab-loving, working mum of four dirty-faced angels (Little Lady – 9, Little Man – 7, Gorgeous – 5 and baby – 1 month). Big sister to long-suffering sister, fashionista sister, kooky little sister and the invisible man. Lady of the house in a home full of children, extended relatives, in-laws, guests and friends. Wannabe novelist.’

Her posts are similarly amusing and cover a wide range of pertinent topics such as ‘Cooking and Dhikr’, ‘Praying with Children’ and an ‘Organised Muslim Home’. There are loads of refreshing ideas – her latest posts for example, describes the party she held for her daughter for finishing the Holy Quran for the first time.

Check it out! And happy reading 🙂

Someone has made a request to have a blog review on Buzz, to be able to identify the ones most handy to ‘like’ and follow…is this something you would like too?

Am thinking of doing this in two parts – one for Islamic blogs, and one for parenting blogs (going back to the importance of creating solid connections with our children to be able to pass on our love for Islam)…

I’m sure there are many amazing blogs out there that you all use and love – please inbox me with the links and will share it with all Inshallah, for everyone to benefit from 🙂
